Vessel Overview

The Sea Bird is a modern, custom-built yacht that combines space, comfort and authentic hospitality-at-sea for live-aboard cruises and private charters around Seychelles.
It is a twin-masted 42m yacht with four Bermuda sails. It has a high fuel capacity, enabling it to operate far from support facilities for long periods. All cabins have en-suite facilities and good storage capacity.
​Traveling under sail and engine in style and comfort is a wonderful way to relax and enjoy these beautiful islands, and the vessel serves as an ideal platform for discovering Seychelles’ most exclusive and hard to reach places.

Facilities

Spacious deck area with sundeck, covered back-deck and leisure area provides plenty of space for passengers to unwind.
​Meals can be enjoyed in the air-conditioned dining salon, or 'al fresco' on the back deck’s dining table.

• Crew: 10 crew members.
• Accommodation in 9 cabins for up to 18 person (plus separate crew quarters.)
• Fully air-conditioned interior, dining room and bar saloon with connection points for computers, and outdoor dining & leisure deck.
• Diving: PADI-certified for Commercial & Leisure Diving, 18 dive tanks & full sets of dive equipment, 2 dive compressors.

Also available aboard:
• Flat-screen TV, DVD stereo in the Dining Salon/Lounge

​Accommodation

Capacity for the outer islands expeditions for 18 guests in 9 air-conditioned cabins, 
    3 with double bed, and
​    6 with double bed and extra bunk bed

Each cabin features an en-suite bathroom, and are cleaned by the hostesses on daily base.
​Electrical outlets are located in all guest cabins as well as in the salons, using 220V power, with European two prong, round pin plugs.

​Crew

We offer a high staff-to-guest ratio to ensure all of our passengers are well looked-after throughout the expedition. In addition to the captain, engineer, and two deckhands, all expedition cruises are staffed with 2 stewardesses, a dive instructor and a dedicated chef. ​​

​Dining & Cuisine

The cruises are full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and also include afternoon tea/coffee and cake. A dedicated chef prepares an enticing blend of authentic Indian Ocean cuisine and traditional European fare. Beverages, table water and tea & coffee are served with all meals. A full range of beverages are also available on board at extra charge. Price list available on request. ​
